Just How Big Is The Average Penis ?

Penis size is something that has seemingly taken on a life of its own in our culture. With many a guy proudly proclaiming that their penis easily passes the 7 inch mark with ease, it’s almost impossible to gauge what the actual national average penis size in inches really is.

Well two prominent studies on the subject tell us what we probably already suspected…most guys lie about how big their bulge really is. While the average size does vary between region and race, it generally falls within the 5-6 inch range.

So what is it about the penis and its size that drives men to offer up tall tales?

This is by no means only a modern phenomenon, and dates back thousands of years to early artwork and depictions of powerful male beings such as Greek gods, who have always been depicted with large penises.

This connection between penis size and power seems to have carried on through the years, prompting men to build themselves up as being bigger (and hence more powerful) than they may actually be.

The reality is that penis size is very closely tied to body size in general, and is not some mystical body part that varied dramatically between people as seems to be the perception amongst some. Of course, naturally large penises do exist, as do incredibly small penises, called micropenises. For most though, their size will fall close to the national average penis size in inches, even if they’d like to believe to the contrary.
